In line with this year’s celebration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT), with the theme “The Evidence is Clear: Invest in Prevention,” the Dangerous Drugs Board invites partners in local and national government agencies, the private sector, and other organizations to unite in combating the global drug problem.
Guided by the principles of science, compassion, and solidarity, we aim to foster a collaborative effort that emphasizes evidence-based solutions. Through collective action and unwavering commitment, we can create a world where individuals are empowered to lead healthy, fulfilling lives free from the burden of drug abuse.
IDADAIT 2024 BIDA FUN RUN
June 26, 2024 | Municipal Government of Ramon Magsaysay, under the leadership of Hon. Margie A. Machon, Municipal Mayor organized the 𝗕𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮’𝘆 𝗔𝘆𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻 (𝗕𝗜𝗗𝗔) 𝟯𝗞𝗠 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗥𝘂𝗻 in celebration of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗜𝗧) with the theme “𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧: 𝙄𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.” This event is in collaboration with the Municipal Peace & Order Council and Municipal ADAC.
The activity commenced with Fun Run Activity at Paradise Panoramic Resort with the participation of SK councils, PNP, BFP, BJMP, LGU employees, barangay participants and the youth of Liargao.
Following the Fun Run was a short program held at the Municipal Gymnasium Grounds. Hon. Machon welcomed the participants who joined in the activity and stressed the relevance of drug prevention and education. MLGOO Catherine Herrera-Atay provided brief rationale of the Program, while PMAJ Irene D. Hernandez reiterated the importance of BIDA Activities in the community. The commitment for Drug Free Philippines was sealed as led by JINSP Jessie V. Fanilag during the Pledge and Signing of Commitment by all participants.
Water shower added joy and fun to the participants during the ZUMBA Dance. Towards the end, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Finishers of 3KM Fun Run were awarded as well as Active Dancers during the ZUMBA Challenge. Vice Mayor Leonilo D. Borinaga, MD represented by Federation President Hon. Juncarl A. Lantig gave closing remarks.
The IDADAIT is observed on June 26th each year. The celebration serves as an opportunity to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse, the illicit drug trade, and the importance of preventing drug addiction, emphasizing the importance of prevention as the most effective strategy.
